Description
The dwarf Baccio di Bartolo, who lived at the court of the Medici family, was called with the same name of the Giant Morgante in the “Morgante Maggiore” written by Pulci and printed in 1478. And he has been depicted by many artists.
His portrait while fishing was sculpt and cast by Giambologna in 1582, and it was created for a fountain for the pensile garden of the Loggia dei Lanzi in the Signoria Square in Florence.
